The Hyderabad Heroes players celebrated their entry into the semifinals in a grand way at ITC Kakatiya. Bharatstudent.com, who is sponsoring the Hyderabad ICL team, threw the party. Popular band Aasma gave an energetic performance and interacted with the players and made them sing along. Kapil Dev who made a surprise entry had flown down just to wish the team. He announced that if the Hyderabad Heroes bring home the winning trophy, he would give them $10,000 as a token of appreciation.

Also, it was a special day for former cricketer Ajit Wadeker as he celebrated his birthday and cut a cake on the stage.

All the players in the team including Nicky Boje, Jimmy Maher, Stuart Binny, Shashank Nag, Kaushik Reddy, Anirudh Singh and Ibrahim Khaleel walked the ramp with models. A dance number by Tollywood actress Mumaith Khan with Aasma brought the house down.

The Yonex Sunrise India Grand Prix Gold 2008 kickstarted with a welcome dinner party at the Taj Krishna on Tuesday night. To entertain the participants and guests, French juggler Christian Jyoti performed his act with crystal balls and Russian belly dancer Ekaterina grooved to Arabic music and the cheers of the crowds. The highlight of the evening was when badminton players Chetan Anand, Jwala Gutta, Akshay Dewalkar, Jishnu Sanyal and Ajay Jairam walked the ramp.
